Rats are dangerous creatures because they carry diseases and contaminate food sources but when they aren’t sharing the same space with you and your loved ones, they have many interesting qualities. They even make good pets, from the pet store, of course.

• Rats have to constantly chew because their teeth never stop growing. They can chew through items as tough as glass or cement. This is why they are commonly associated with wire damage.  
• Rats are exceptionally clean animals, by comparison, spending several hours a day grooming themselves.  

• Rats are very social animals with brains that are shockingly similar to humans. Rats are used in many studies to mimic human behavior.  
• Rats live in communities. They have social circles that rely on each other to survive.  
• Rat jaws are built extremely strong like an alligator’s. Their bites are painful!
